The new Civic combines an exciting driving experience with high efficiency and low emissions. The Honda e:HEV technology has been further developed for the new generation of the model. The system delivers a total output of 135 kW/184 hp and a class-leading torque of 315 Nm, which ensures outstanding driving performance. The Civic accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds. The CO2 emissions amount to 108 g/km with a fuel consumption of 4.7 l/100 km (WLTP, combined). The self-charging full hybrid drive combines a lithium-ion battery and two compact, powerful electric motors with a newly developed 2.0-liter Atkinson petrol engine with direct injection. The e:HEV system switches seamlessly between EV, hybrid and motor drive without driver intervention. In the city, the vehicle mainly drives in emission-free EV mode and offers the direct and comfortable driving characteristics of the electric drive. If greater acceleration is required, the vehicle automatically switches to the hybrid drive. The wheels continue to be driven by the powerful electric motor, while the combustion engine generates the electrical power required for this via the second electric motor, which acts as a generator
