The 296 GTS further highlights the clean, refined lines of the 296 GTB. With the top down, it is the incomparably elegant embodiment of the hybrid concept for open sports cars. With its unprecedented architecture for a Spider, it opens a new chapter in the history of the brand. The designers' goal was to retain the main features of the 296 GTB. This required a meticulous analysis of the dimensions of the technical components. The emphasis, of course, was on minimizing the impact of the changes to the body and introducing a clear, instantly recognizable theme that embodies the complexity of the design and translates it into fully linear forms. The cockpit of the 296 GTS was developed around the new concept of a fully digital interface. The interior design draws on its stylistic coherence in its forms. While the design on the SF90 Stradale still emphasized advanced technology and was intended to highlight a clear break with the past, the idea for the 296 GTS was to clothe this technology in a refined guise. The result is a clean, minimalist look characterized by a powerful elegance that perfectly mirrors the exterior design on an aesthetic level.
