The new Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric has that certain something extra: Parallel to the first vehicles of the purely electric crossover rolling onto German roads, the new addition to the Swedish premium car brand wins the prestigious Plus X Award. The award, which is presented in four categories, recognizes the striking design, high quality and functionality as well as the innovative character of the new Volvo model. With the Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric, the Swedish premium carmaker continues to drive electrification forward. The Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric has an electric motor on each axle, each developing 150 kW (204 hp), and thus covers up to 444 kilometers (according to WLTP) locally emission-free and almost silently. On the road, the 78 kWh battery of the electric car can be charged from ten to 80 percent within 37 minutes at a fast charging station.
