The all-electric Volvo C40 Recharge, which was recently awarded the Top Safety Pick+ by the U.S. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for its exceptional level of safety, comes in an additional drive variant: To complement the all-wheel drive version, an entry-level model with a 170 kW (231 hp) electric motor and front-wheel drive is now available. In conjunction with a 69 kWh high-voltage battery, it offers a range of up to 423 kilometers in the combined WLTP cycle. At fast-charging stations, the battery can be charged from ten to 80 percent within 32 minutes. The entry-level price for the Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric is 48,850 euros (MSRP incl. 19% VAT). The Volvo C40 Recharge Single Motor Pure Electric expands the Swedish premium automaker's all-electric lineup. The company wants to use it to encourage even more people to switch to electric mobility. From 2030, only fully electric models will be sold.
