In order to give customers the secure feeling of being able to control the vehicle at all times, the primary objective is to prevent the vehicle body from vibrating noticeably when driving over long bumps. The aim is therefore to create a vehicle that is easy to control - even at the dynamic limits. The basic philosophy is to always convey a feeling of predictability in the vehicle's response. In the e-tron S, for example, the system adjusts the drive torques of the e-machines within just 30 milliseconds of detecting the driving situation. In the electric all-wheel drive system, no mechanical clutch is actuated; instead, electricity is distributed. At the same time, the interaction of the control systems with the driver conveys a feeling of safety. The steering is direct, and changes to the accelerator pedal are immediately perceptible. It is clearly noticeable how the vehicle character changes through the choice of driving modes.
