The scalability of the battery system in the new Mercedes-EQ models in the luxury and upper class enables various range and performance variants to be displayed. In the EQE, the lithium-ion battery consists of ten modules. The in-house developed, innovative battery management software enables updates over the air (OTA). The EQE's energy management remains up-to-date throughout the lifecycle. Battery development is a decisive factor in Mercedes-Benz's electrification strategy. After all, the battery is the heart of an electric car and, among other things, makes a decisive contribution to the range and thus the driving characteristics of the electric vehicle. With the EQS, a new generation of batteries with a significantly higher energy density has started, from which the EQE is now also benefiting. The new batteries set standards in terms of performance, efficiency and charging capacity. They also meet the high Mercedes requirements in terms of safety, durability and sustainability. Mercedes-Benz issues a battery certificate for its high-voltage batteries and thus a performance promise to the customer: 10 years runtime or a mileage of 250,000 kilometers with a defined remaining capacity
