The new Honda Civic Type R - A customized Type R experience

The performance of the new Civic Type can be customized more precisely and individually than ever - for the ultimate Type R experience. Using the drive mode switch next to the gearshift, three preset modes - Comfort, Sport and Individual - can be activated to change the characteristics of the engine, steering, suspension, sound, rev matching and gauges. Additionally, there is the +R mode, which is activated via a special button located just above the toggle switch. Each mode affects different aspects of the vehicle, including the adaptive damper system, steering, rev matching, and throttle response. When the engine is started, the vehicle starts in the last mode used. Comfort mode offers more everyday functionality with software-based suspension tuning and a smoother steering feel. This mode is also suitable for longer highway trips and for driving on rough terrain. Sport mode lies between Comfort and +R modes. The response is more direct and dynamic than in Comfort mode, but without compromising ride quality.
