Porsche is adding the lightweight 911 Carrera T sports car to the 911 family. The letter T stands for "Touring" and describes models that offer a particularly purist driving experience with sporty equipment. The new 911 Carrera T is equipped with a seven-speed manual transmission as standard. An eight-speed PDK is also available as an option. The rear seat system is omitted. With its PASM sports suspension, which lowers the body by ten millimeters and reduces damping, the new 911 Carrera T stands for purism and emotional driving pleasure. This can be felt - and heard - on winding mountain and country roads. The sound of the six-cylinder boxer engine now penetrates even more strikingly into the interior. The new 911 Carrera T ranks between the 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera S. From the entry-level 911, the Carrera T takes over the biturbo engine with 283 kW (385 hp) and 450 Newton meters of torque, with which the sports car accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 291 km/h. Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with mechanical rear-axle cross-lock is added from the standard range of the Carrera S with manual transmission. In addition, the 911 Carrera T comes standard with the Sport Chrono Package and the PASM sports suspension (-10 mm). This is only available on the 911 Carrera T in conjunction with the 385 hp engine. It is optionally available on the 911 Carrera S. In addition, rear-axle steering can be ordered on request for the 911 Carrera T, which is otherwise also reserved for models from the 911 Carrera S upwards.
