Tucson的新型插电式混合动力车型具有估计的261马力，1.6升涡轮增压直喷式混合动力总成以及六速自动变速箱。插电式混合动力电池比混合动力电池更大，功率为13.8 kWh，估计的全电范围（AER）为32英里，估计的燃油经济性为70 MPGe。插入式Hybrid Level-II充电功能可以在不到两个小时的时间内使用7.2kW车载充电器为系统充电。插电式混合动力装置通过PHEV调谐的六速自动变速器提供动力，以实现平稳性和效率，全轮驱动时的综合燃油经济性估计为30 mpg。插电式混合动力车的牵引力甚至达到了2,000磅。
