The Russian mercenary group Wagner must apparently suffer huge losses in Ukraine. Of the original 50,000 or so Russian prisoners recruited, only 10,000 are said to be left. This was reported by Olga Romanova, the head of the independent Russian human rights organization "Russia Behind Bars". The reason for this is the high casualty, surrender and desertion rates of the troops.
