Traditional craft: A visit to the glass workshop

For more than 30 years, Cornelius has devoted himself entirely to glassmaking. Together with his colleague Justine, he makes vases, carafes and drinking vessels of all kinds in his workshop in Nuremberg. Today, the two want to expand the current series of vases. So in the first step, colored glass is heated in the kiln at around 500 degrees. Then it's time to start molding. Cornelius has to work with as much concentration as possible. Every millimeter is crucial for the shape. Fingertip feeling and good timing are therefore a priority.
