Hyundai IONIQ 6 is "World Car of the Year"

The Hyundai IONIQ 6 has won the prestigious "World Car of the Year", "World Electric Vehicle" and "World Car Design of the Year" awards at the "World Car Awards". The international jury praised it for its aerodynamic design and long range. The results were announced today at the "New York International Auto Show". A jury of 100 automotive journalists from 32 countries selected the IONIQ 6 from the three finalists, all of which were launched in 2022. This is the second consecutive win at the "World Car Awards" for the electric sub-brand Hyundai IONIQ: Last year, the jury already chose the IONIQ 5 as the winner in the same categories. The Hyundai IONIQ 6 is already the second model of the electric sub-brand Hyundai IONIQ after the IONIQ 5. All associated models are based on the so-called "Electric Global Modular Platform" (E-GMP). Its tailored architecture enables high charging speeds as well as a range of up to 614 km (WLTP standard) due to 800-volt technology and a particularly spacious interior design thanks to the flat floor. With an extremely low drag coefficient of just 0.21, the IONIQ 6 is one of the most aerodynamic and energy-efficient electric vehicles on the market.
