Final tests of the new Volkswagen Touareg near the Arctic Circle

This year, Volkswagen continues the success story of the Touareg, which has sold more than a million units, with a comprehensive technical and visual update. The rear and front end of the luxury SUV have been redesigned, the chassis has been further developed and impresses with its combination of comfort and performance. Ahead of the world premiere in the summer, Volkswagen is now giving a preview of the update to its top model. The new Touareg is still camouflaged on its final test kilometers in Swedish Lapland. The camouflage consists of the pixels of an oversized QR code. Scanning it with a smartphone takes you to the Volkswagen Touareg online site, which provides further information on the new Touareg. Although the design modifications are still hidden under the QR code film, the Erlkönig images already provide concrete clues to initial technical details.
