Renault Espace - Modular, spacious and flooded with light - the interior

The basis for the spaciousness and space for up to seven people is the modular CMF-CD platform of the alliance Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, which allows optimized interior design. With an overall length of 4.72 meters, the new Espace is 14 centimeters shorter than its predecessor and 32 millimeters lower, while the passenger compartment gains 2.48 meters up to the third row. The new Espace's features also include a high degree of interior modularity: passengers in the second row sit on a bench seat that can be moved longitudinally by 220 millimeters and is divided into two independent units in a 60:40 ratio. Knee room is up to 321 millimeters, and additional comfort is provided by the backrest, which can be tilted by up to 31 degrees. In the surcharge-free third row of seats for two, knee room is still 128 millimeters. This can be extended by pushing the seats in row two forward using the Easy Access function. The backrest can also be tilted forward.
