Familiar date, new setting: After a forced two-year break, the Classic Days are celebrating their long-awaited comeback this coming weekend (5th to 7th August). While the first weekend in August remains unchanged as the traditional event period, the popular classic event is taking place at a new location for the first time. While the first 14 events took place at Schloss Dyck, around 30 kilometers south-west of Düsseldorf, this year the Classic Days are moving directly to the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital. ŠKODA AUTO Deutschland will take part in this happening with the circuit and rally versions of the 130 RS and the ŠKODA POPULAR ROADSTER from 1937. The ŠKODA AUTO Deutschland team will take part in the demonstration drives over the specially designed circuit several times over the entire weekend with the two ŠKODA 130 RS. The rally version is controlled by none other than the brand ambassador and seven-time German rally champion Matthias Kahle, who wants to inspire the spectators with one or the other spirited drift. The ŠKODA 130 RS is undoubtedly one of the most successful motorsport vehicles in the company's history. The success statistics of the rear-wheel drive, also known as the 'Porsche of the East', include the double victory in the 1977 Monte Carlo Rally in Group 2 with a displacement of up to 1.3 litres. In the circuit version, the coupé won the brand classification in the European Touring Car Championship for ŠKODA in 1981
