Ford Pro is launching the next generation of the Transit Courier series, starting this year. For the first time, there will also be a fully electric version of this compact van - the E-Transit Courier. It develops 100 kW (136 hp) of power and introduces the benefits of the Ford Pro ecosystem, with their coordinated services and software solutions, to the 0.75-ton payload class segment. At the same time, the new Transit Courier series also impresses with a significantly larger load volume. At 2.9 cubic meters, it exceeds the standard size of the predecessor model by 25 percent. This means that the new models, including the all-electric variant, can take two euro pallets on board for the first time. The E-Transit Courier will celebrate its public world premiere on April 18, 2023 at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham (UK). Production of the new E-Transit Courier is scheduled to start in the fall of 2024 at Ford's Otosan plant in Craiova, Romania, with market launch planned for the end of 2024. The new generation of Transit Courier model variants with gasoline or diesel drive, on the other hand, can already be ordered this year - probably starting in the summer. The first customer vehicles will be delivered this year. Ford will announce the selling prices in good time. Following the E-Transit and E-Transit Custom, the new E-Transit Courier is already the third all-electric commercial vehicle from Ford Pro's iconic Transit model family. Ford is investing more than 50 billion US dollars worldwide in the electrification of its product range.
