Paris Saint-Germain made an impressive debut at the 2025 Club World Cup. On Sunday (15th), the Champions League winner defeated Atlético de Madrid 4-0 at the historic Rose Bowl in the United States. From the start, PSG controlled the game, had 74% possession in the first half, and constantly applied pressure. Fabián Ruiz and Vitinha scored beautiful goals before halftime. This dominance continued in the second half, even though the team controlled the pace. After Lenglet's red card, Paris extended the lead through Mayulu and Lee, the latter from the penalty spot. Vitinha was the highlight of the game, leading the midfield confidently, scoring a goal, and being named the best player of the match. New signing Kvaratskhelia also shined with two assists. With this victory, PSG tops the group and will face Botafogo next Friday (20th) at 03:00, also at the Rose Bowl. Atlético de Madrid will seek revenge against the Seattle Sounders on the same day at 00:00.
