For 40 years, the small ferry 'Adler 1' has been transporting around 1000 people every day across the Kiel Canal, connecting the Kiel districts of Wik and Holtenau. It is a real highlight at the foot of the Holtenauer High Bridge - but there are discussions because only 50 people fit on the 'Adler 1'. The city of Kiel wants a larger ferry. Will the small cult ferry soon have to make way for a larger ship?
