Simson and Vintage Car Meeting 2025 near Nauen, more than sustainable

The third Simson & Vintage Car Meeting at Hertefeld Hanffabrik (city of Nauen) on Jannenhof was once again a success. Thousands of visitors came with a Simson moped, but also some Swallows were presented. Vintage vehicles from the old GDR were very much in focus. The passion of their owners, the pride of being able to present the old two-wheelers on the event grounds, was clearly visible. The noise from the various machines and what came out of the exhaust pipes seemed to be just as important for most as the general exchange of experiences. Enthusiastic moped owners like Christian Böbel (44) were met, who has been tinkering with the small machines with full passion for over 30 years. He owns alone more than 60 two-wheelers of various models, many of them brands like Simson. His vintage two-wheelers are already very noticeable, because despite the poor condition, which he also likes very much, everything is really roadworthy. When it comes to sustainability, the hobbyist was very sure that more sustainability in today's time is no longer possible. He has sourced most of the spare parts on the open market. In the GDR, they already knew how recyclability works.
