The Lancia Ypsilon visually follows the design direction introduced with the spectacular concept car Lancia Pu+Ra HPE. By skillfully layering and overlapping basic geometric shapes such as circles, rectangles, and triangles, the distinctive lines are created. The body of the new Lancia Ypsilon shows a successful fusion of the soft, clear lines of the historical models Aurelia and Flaminia as well as the bold details of the sports car models Stratos and Delta Integrale. Additionally, the design of the new Lancia Ypsilon is inspired by architecture and fashion. The front end impresses with the modern interpretation of the traditional shield-shaped grille. Three converging LED strips are visible both as daytime running lights and when driving at night. Another characteristic element at the front of the vehicle is the brand name made of satin-finished stainless steel. The round LED taillights pay homage to the legendary Lancia Stratos. This wedge-shaped coupe, now a coveted classic, won the Rally World Championship title three times. The letter Y is subtly integrated into the taillights. The "Ypsilon" lettering on the rear is inspired by Italian fashion in its handwriting-like style. Similarly, the model designation adorns the classic Lancia models Fulvia, Flavia, and Flaminia. The letter Y is integrated into the taillights.
