Donald Trump say he is ready to invoke the Insurrection Act, which allows the US president to deploy federal troops to suppress a violent rebellion, as part of a growing crackdown on Democrat-run cities. "We have an Insurrection Act for a reason. If I had to enact it I'd do that," Trump tells reporters in the Oval Office. "If people were being killed and courts were holding us up or governors or mayors were holding us up, sure I would do that", the US president adds. SOUNDBITE
