The federal government plans to reduce electricity prices by 2 cents per kilowatt-hour through grid fees. For Angelika Stiefken from Essen Kettwig, this means a savings of about 30 euros per year. Criticism comes from the Taxpayers Association in NRW, which finds the measures inadequate. Instead, a reduction in electricity tax is demanded to help all electricity customers equally. Angelika Stiefken wishes for a higher reduction to relieve the costs for heavy consumers.
