Wadephul: EU-Accession of the Western Balkans "already for geopolitical reasons"

Federal Foreign Minister Johan Wadephul (CDU) has advocated giving the countries of the Western Balkans a concrete prospect of imminent accession to the EU "already for geopolitical reasons". It is in the "most fundamental European interest" that these countries do not turn to Russia or China, Wadephul said in Vienna.
