Adventure playground, classroom, and zoo visit all in one The new Climate Forest Path in Nuremberg Zoo promises just that. Construction on the project has been ongoing for almost a year, partly at lofty heights as the path winds through the treetops of the Reichswald forest. The opening is scheduled for the end of July. However, work is still underway on the large project. It's like taking a walk among the treetops. 450 meters long and up to 20 meters above the ground. The bridge construction made of Douglas fir wood offers a completely new perspective on the zoo. From above, visitors can observe polar bears or forest reindeer, for example. The path aims to make climate and nature conservation tangible. Structurally, the Climate Forest Path was a challenge. Everything must be at ground level for wheelchairs and strollers. Additionally, a green classroom has been created halfway along the path. After a year, the million-dollar project is complete
