On 4th July, a new parliament will be elected in the UK. There are a total of 650 constituencies. Each candidate who wins a majority in their constituency will enter the House of Commons. The polling stations open at seven in the morning and close at 10:00 pm.

UN General Assembly votes for Hamas-free Palestinian state

The UN General Assembly adopts the "New York Declaration" which aims to breathe new life into the two-state solution between Israel and Palestine -- without the involvement of Hamas. The text is adopted by 142 votes in favor, 10 against -- including Israel and key ally the United States -- and 12 abstentions. It clearly condemns Hamas and demands that it surrender its weapons.
