Closure of Main-Danube Canal: Starting in Nuremberg-Eibach

The Main-Danube Canal measures around 170 kilometers between Bamberg and Kelheim. Several million tons of goods are transported here every year. However, many locks of the canal are closed for navigation for three weeks due to extensive construction and maintenance work. It all started today in Nuremberg-Eibach.
