Source: SAT.1 NORDDEUTSCHLAND (Glomex)

The October storm surge caused enormous destruction on the pilot island of Schleimünde. The island has belonged to a foundation for over 20 years, making it accessible to everyone. Not only do 50,000 day visitors come there every year, but groups can also hold seminars there. The Flensburg Baltic Sea School also regularly takes students there for island leisure time. The students are now also helping with the cleanup.
