Australian Scotty James dominates spectacularly in the halfpipe competition at the LAAX OPEN 2024

The snowboard halfpipe final of the LAAX Open 2024 - Europe's most prestigious snowboard competition - was the highlight of this year's edition in Laax, Switzerland. Over 15,000 spectators made their way to the Crap SognGion for the legendary halfpipe night final and celebrated the 20 finalists of the LAAX OPEN 2024. After 2019 and 2020, Australian Scotty James took victory again this year and thrilled the spectators with his stylish halfpipe run. His compatriot Valentino Guseli landed in 2nd place and made a world premiere with a frontside 1620. Japan's Ruka Hirano completes the podium in third place. Last year's winner Mitsuki Ono from Japan won the women's event with 81.75 points ahead of the young American Bea Kim and Ruki Tomita (JPN).
