Shooting in Essen: 17-year-old arrested

In Essen, there was a shooting at a vocational college where a 17-year-old Kosovar seriously injured a teacher. The school was immediately cordoned off while the students barricaded themselves in the classrooms. The police apprehended the suspected perpetrator in a nearby park, where he allegedly attacked the officers with a knife. They shot him, causing serious injuries. The teacher is being treated in the hospital but is not in critical condition. ({116} words)
