The Ferrari Amalfi - Body Design

The Ferrari Amalfi is a reinterpretation of the archetype of a 2+ coupe Berlinetta with a front-mid-engine V8. It combines tradition and innovation in a design language that further develops the aesthetic standards of the Maranello brand. The design team at Ferrari Centro Stile, led by Flavio Manzoni, drew inspiration from the elegant proportions of the Ferrari Roma and developed a distinctly sculptural, modern form without abandoning the essence of Ferrari 2+ sports cars. The exterior design evolved from a sleek, monolithic 'speed form' that gives the model a strong and dynamic identity. The surfaces are kept minimalistic, with sharply defined lines and geometric volumes defining a sculptural and cohesive body. The wedge-shaped design of the flanks, together with lighting units integrated into technically inspired cutouts, contribute to a refined and modern aesthetic. The front end does away with the traditional grille. It is characterized by a body-colored floating wing above a dark, recessed band that discreetly integrates sensors and headlights. The lower splitter completes the composition and emphasizes the visual width and sportiness of the whole.
