With a unique silver Civic e:HEV, Honda celebrates its 25th hybrid anniversary in Europe: In September 1999, the Honda Insight was introduced as the brand's first hybrid model in the European market. Honda celebrates the silver anniversary with the "silveriest silver color in the world" - applied to the Civic. The color "Silveriest Silver" was created by the renowned artist Stuart Semple in his studio Culture Hustle. The master of colors has not only invented the "silveriest silver in the world" but also the "pinkest pink," the "goldenest gold," and the "blackest black." Stuart works with the best materials and produces his colors from 64 percent silver flakes and pigments mixed into an acrylic suspension. The colors can be evenly applied to all surfaces and give the appearance of solid gold or silver metal. This allows artists to create works that represent these colors in a real way. After mixing, the color was handed over to the specialists at The Syrup Room in Bournemouth, UK, to apply it to the Civic. For three days, a team of professionals cleaned and prepared the vehicle's body under carefully controlled climatic conditions and then applied several layers of special protective and peelable paints. Finally, the last layer of "Silveriest Silver" was applied with a highly precise spraying system.
