Compared to the R8 V10 performance RWD with 570 hp, which is the basis for the second edition of the R8 GT, Audi Sport GmbH increases the performance of the special model to bring it on a par with the quattro models. In concrete terms, this means 620 hp from 10 cylinders, 5.2-liter displacement and 565 Nm, which is available from 6,400 to 7,000 rpm (maximum speed: 8,700 rpm). As a result, the new R8 GT accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, reaches the 200 km/h mark after just 10.1 seconds and travels at speeds of up to 320 km/h. Another key difference: a new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with even shorter shift times. Thanks to a modified gear ratio and the resulting higher engine speed level, the new transmission allows even more impressive acceleration in all gears. A visual highlight for the V10: The intake manifold of the R8 GT gleams exclusively in black.
