Hamburg Airport makes a profit for the first time since coronavirus

Source: SAT.1 NORDDEUTSCHLAND (Glomex)

Good news for Hamburg Airport: 14 million passengers used the airport last year. This is an increase of 22 percent compared to the previous year, exceeding even the most optimistic expectations. Although the pre-corona level has not been reached, Hamburg Airport is once again looking to the future with much more confidence. This is also an ideal start for the new Managing Director duo: Berit Schmitz and Christian Kunsch have big plans. The most important issue for the future is the goal of climate neutrality. The management is currently planning the construction of a wind farm in Kaltenkirchen (Schleswig-Holstein). The aim is to supply the airport entirely with green electricity from 2028.
