In addition to the Kodiaq iV as a plug-in hybrid, the second generation of the SUV offers two petrol and two diesel options, all combined with a 7-speed DSG. The entry-level 1.5 TSI petrol engine with 110 kW (150 PS) is the first in the model range to feature mild hybrid technology with a belt-driven 48-volt starter generator and a 48-volt lithium-ion battery. The energy recovered during braking can support the combustion engine with an electric power boost or allow the SUV to roll with the engine completely shut off. Both hybrid powertrains belong to the latest EA 211 evo2 engine series. They operate in the particularly fuel-efficient Miller cycle and feature turbochargers with variable turbine geometry. The 1.5 TSI Mild Hybrid also uses the latest version of the active cylinder management ACT+. The two 2.0 TDI engines come in power levels of 110 kW (150 PS) and 142 kW (193 PS). Škoda always provides the top diesel and top petrol models with all-wheel drive. All powertrains of the second generation of the Kodiaq comply with the Euro 6e emission standard. They are designed for efficiency and smooth operation, tailored for demanding drivers.
