The Cologne Labor Court is faced with a puzzling case: a video court hearing that allegedly took place but was not perceived by the parties involved. The judge claims to have asked questions and received answers, while the lawyers and the plaintiff claim to have waited for the court, which never appeared. A judgment was handed down even though the alleged hearing did not exist for the parties involved. Despite intensive investigations, the cause of this mysterious incident remains unclear. A lawyer who filed an application for recusal against the judge suspects that the judge may have fabricated the trial. The case finally ended with a settlement in the second instance, without the ghost trial being cleared up.
