Tourism in Germany in January 2025: 3.1% more overnight stays than the previous year

In January 2025, accommodation establishments in Germany recorded a total of 25.9 million overnight stays by domestic and foreign guests. According to preliminary data from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), this corresponds to an increase of 3.1% compared to January 2024. This represents the highest January value since 2020, when 26.9 million overnight stays were counted.
