Wrestler Mijain Lopez celebrated in Cuba after winning fifth successive Olympic gold
The mother of Cuban wrestler Mijain Lopez, Leonor Nunez, celebrates with friends and neighbours the victory of her son after he won the men's greco-roman 130kg wrestling event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, at her home in the town of Herradura, Pinar del Rio province. Lopez made Olympic history when he became the first athlete to win five consecutive individual golds in the same event, bettering the records of Games icons such as Carl Lewis and Michael Phelps.
