Why Charlize Theron does not name her alleged Hollywood harasser

In a recent episode of 'Call Her Daddy,' Charlize Theron explained why she never publicly named the director who allegedly sexually harassed her at the beginning of her career. Speaking with host Alex Cooper, Theron recalled going to the director's house for a late-night audition, where he greeted her in pajamas and placed his hand on her knee. She said she left immediately upon realizing something was wrong, even though she didn't know what a normal audition looked like at that time. Theron first shared the story in 2019 on 'The Howard Stern Show.' She explained that while the director became 'a little nervous' after she went public, she refuses to name him because she doesn't want the story to be about him. He later sent her a 'phony letter' trying to explain his behavior, which she dismissed as a classic distraction. 'He knows he's the jerk,' she said, adding that she enjoys knowing he's 'in the hot seat.'
