Fire spreads through pavilion at COP30 in Brazil, sparking panic as visitors flee

A fire broke out inside the COP30 conference center in Belém, Brazil on November 20, sending visitors fleeing from the area. First responders brought the fire under control within 6 minutes and believe the cause was a malfunctioning electrical device, likely a microwave. 13 people were treated for smoke inhalation. Several meetings were disrupted by the incident.
