This is the incredible moment a hiker wandering through a jungle area in Peru discovers a Potoo and its chick hiding in plain sight on top of a bamboo stump on September 21. They are known as 'ghost birds' in Brazil and Paraguay due to their ability to camouflage themselves in wooded areas and stay perfectly still.
