After a mishap on the podium, the 105th Giro d'Italia is over for Biniam Girmay. The 22-year-old will not compete again due to an injury to his left eye. Girmay had accidentally shot the cork of the prosecco bottle in his face during the award ceremony. He had previously become the first black African to win a Grand Tour stage.
