Rookie driver causes serious traffic accident with two fatalities

On the B8 near the village of Emskirchen (district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim), there was a serious traffic accident on Tuesday (17.05.2022). The 18-year-old driver of the wine-red car apparently drove into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with an oncoming white car carrying two women. The 55-year-old female driver of the white car died on the scene, her 76-year-old female passenger was seriously injured and flown by rescue helicopter to a hospital, where she died a short time later. The 18-year-old driver of the other car is currently being resuscitated and taken to hospital. He is also expected to die.
