Popular long-haul destination: South Africa at the ITB travel fair

South Africa remains one of the most popular long-haul destinations for travelers from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with arrivals from Europe reaching 81% of the pre-Covid level. With over 1,258,706 arrivals, an increase of 1.1% compared to the previous year, South Africa recorded a positive trend in 2024. This was also evident at the International Tourism Fair ITB in Berlin.
