Among other things, the Russian army is using cluster munitions in Ukraine. Cluster bombs are actually banned worldwide. But what makes cluster bombs so dangerous? When such a bomb is dropped, hundreds of small submunitions are released. The small explosive devices then rain to the ground in a hail of bombs. Precise aiming at a target is not possible.
