The German Lukas Baum finishes 5th on the final stage at the Nedbank Gravel Burn

The first edition of the Nedbank Gravel Burn is history. The 7-day gravel stage race in South Africa led the 500 professionals and amateurs over 800km through the Western and Eastern Cape of South Africa. From the start at the sea in Knysna, through the forests, the Great Karoo, the bushvelds to the grand finale in the Game Reserve. The professional field was filled with international top stars from all different cycling disciplines such as: Tom Pidcock (GBR - two-time MTB Olympic champion, Tour de France stage winner and recently top three in the Vuelta), Matthew Beers (RSA - 3-time Cape Epic winner), Alistair Brownlee (GBR - two-time Triathlon Olympic champion), as well as Allison Jackson (CAN - Paris Roubaix Femmes winner 2023).
