The Federal Constitutional Court raises the broadcasting fee by 86 cents per apartment and month. By failing to approve the First Media Amendment Treaty, Saxony-Anhalt violated the freedom of public broadcasters to broadcast under Article 5 of the Basic Law, the Karlsruhe judges ruled.
