The Schalke coaching chair has been like an ejector seat for years. After Huub Stevens' first era from 1996 to 2002, including interim solutions, 24 trainers sat on the royal blue bench in front of Christian Gross, some of them several times. Since the summer of 2009 there have been 14 coaches, Gross is number 15. And none of them managed to stay at Schalke for two years
