BRABUS 900 XLP „ONE OF TEN“ - The new, limited-edition top-of-the-range model of the exclusive high-performance off-road pickup

The new BRABUS 900 XLP “ONE OF TEN” is powered by the brawniest engine from BRABUS production: The BRABUS ROCKET 900 V8 twin-turbo, increased-displacement engine is an evolution of the G 63 engine with a displacement increase to 4.5 liters. It produces a peak output of 662 kW / 900 hp (888 bhp) and a peak torque of 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft), though the latter is capped at 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) in the vehicle. It pushes the high-end pickup from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.4 seconds. Due to the high center of gravity and the all-terrain tires mounted on custom-developed BRABUS Z/HD 22-inch forged wheels, the top speed is electronically limited to 210 km/h (130 mph). The vehicle pictured in the attached photos sports a ‘ROCKET Grey’ special paint finish and a black BRABUS MASTERPIECE interior with carbon adornments and elements glazed in red.

This purist and powerful 375 kW 911 GT3 with a weight of just 1,418 kilograms is delivered with a six-speed GT sports gearbox as standard. For the first time, the Touring package can also be combined with the seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission at no extra cost. The exterior’s most conspicuous difference is the omission of the fixed rear wing of the 911 GT3. The necessary downforce at high speeds and even more understatement are guaranteed by an automatically extending rear spoiler. Silver-coloured trim strips made of high-gloss anodised aluminium on the side windows are another distinguishing feature that underline the newcomer’s discreet appearance. The front end is painted completely in the exterior colour. The interior, with extended leather items in Black, is particularly elegant and is available exclusively for the GT3 with Touring package. The front of the dashboard and the upper side sections of the door trim panels have special surface embossing.

Kimi Räikkönen certifies the Giulia GTA

To follow the testing session on the Giulia GTA and GTAm last fall, the Finnish world champion was back at the Balocco Proving Ground a few days ago to personally evaluate the work done on the highest-performing sports sedan the Italian brand has ever produced. His words leave no doubts in the mind: “I really like it. We’re looking at a car that can be used on an everyday basis, but that can also be taken onto the track, one in which you can really enjoy yourself.” Kimi Räikkönen analyzed the changes made to the car, specifically in terms of the aerodynamics. He had already worked on this aspect in the first session, providing invaluable advice on the new appendages added both to the front – the new adjustable splitter built into the new front bumper – and to the rear – the addition of the new manually adjustable wing. More general changes have also been made to the overall balance guaranteed by the interaction of these new components with the extractor and the underbody fairing. Kimi’s judgment? “Of course, it's better at high speeds in terms of balance. It seems the front of the car is lower, making the steering faster. It’s fast, easy to drive, and responsive.” Once he takes off his racing suit and is away from the spotlight, Kimi Räikkönen is back playing the role of father, taking his children to school. He therefore believes that the Giulia GTA represents the ideal mix for use every day and on the track.
