VfL Wolfsburg is not only going full throttle on the pitch at the moment. The leader of the Bundesliga without a loss was a guest at the test track of its main sponsor Volkswagen in Ehra-Lessien on Tuesday. A driving safety training, which was about driving on wet roads, braking, off-road or changing lanes quickly, was the team building of a special kind.

The Jeep® brand has introduced its new Wrangler 4xe, marking the arrival of the most capable, technically advanced and eco-friendly Wrangler ever. Jeep Wrangler 4xe models will be available in Europe, China and the United States by early 2021. The Jeep Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe models – introduced last year in Geneva – began arriving in Europe this summer. The new Jeep 4xe models follow the introduction of the Jeep Grand Commander PHEV in China last year. The Wrangler 4xe’s plug-in hybrid powertrain is capable of up to 25 miles (according to US homologation cycle) of nearly silent, zero-emission electric-only propulsion, making it commuter friendly as an all-electric daily driver without range anxiety and the most-capable and eco-friendly Jeep vehicle off-road – combined with the open-air freedom that only Jeep Wrangler offers. Jeep will offer electrification options on each nameplate in the next few years as it strives to become the leader in eco-friendly premium technology. The turbocharged three-litre flat-six in the new 911 GTS delivers 353 kW (480 PS). Maximum torque is 570 Nm, an increase of 20 Nm over its predecessor. Zero to 100 km/h takes just 3.3 seconds (911 Carrera 4 GTS: Fuel consumption combined (NEDC) 10.5 – 9.7 l/100 km, Fuel consumption combined (WLTP) 11.4 – 10.6 l/100 km, CO₂ emissions combined (NEDC) 240 – 222 g/km, CO₂ emissions combined (WLTP) 259 – 240 g/km) in the 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupé with the eight-speed Porsche dual-clutch transmission (PDK): three tenths faster than its predecessor. A seven-speed manual transmission with a particularly short throw is available for all 911 GTS models as an alternative to the PDK.
