In commemoration of the legendary Countach’s 50th anniversary and V12 heritage, Automobili Lamborghini today debuted globally the next generation Countach LPI 800-4, alongside the North American premieres of the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae and Essenza SCV12 at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. The annual automotive event, held on the grounds of the Quail Lodge & Golf Club, returned for an 18th year and served as a prime location to commence the world-famous Monterey Car Week. The Countach LPI 800-4, an emblem of the brand’s past and future, was unveiled to a crowd of 5,000 guests by Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini. It harnesses a naturally-aspirated V12 engine and an electric motor delivering a maximum combined power of 814 cv and top speed of 221 miles per hour. A visionary masterpiece of the brand’s future, the Countach LPI-800-4 still brings forth the renowned design of the Countach from the 1970s. Only 112 units will be made, signifying the ‘LP 112’ nomenclature used during the original Lamborghini Countach’s development.

As with the previous R 18 models, the new R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B combine the thrilling power of the "Big Boxer" with a classic chassis concept based on historical models, exclusive equipment and a stylish design. This makes the R 18 Transcontinental ideal for travelling and long-distance rides in American riding style - both for riding solo and with a pillion and luggage. The R 18 B, on the other hand, is designed as a "rider’s machine" delivering emotional driving pleasure and ideal for cool touring and cruising. Special features of the new R 18 Transcontinental include: Front fairing with high wind shield, wind deflector and flaps. Cockpit with four analogue round instruments and 10.25 inch TFT colour display, additional headlamp, Marshall sound system, engine protection bars, cases, top case, seat heating, chrome trim and an engine in Silver metallic. In contrast, the new R 18 B does without a top case and, in the style of a "bagger", offers a low windshield, a slimmer seat and a matt black metallic engine among other things.

The MC20 super sports car, now also a spyder: Maserati presents MC20 Cielo, a one-of-a-kind car that can deliver the performance of a true super sports car, together with a holistic and immersive driving pleasure the like of which has never been seen before. MC20 Cielo announces its special features in its very name: MC stands for Maserati Corse (‘Racing’); 20 refers to 2020, the year that began the brand’s new era; Cielo (‘sky’) highlights the fact that it is a model devoted to driving pleasure in the great outdoors, while maintaining all the prerogatives of the coupé. Equipped with the revolutionary V6 Nettuno engine, the Cielo offers a perfect mix of sportiness and luxury, courtesy of a specification unique to the segment: the innovative retractable glass roof. In actual fact, the new spyder acts a meeting point between Maserati audacity and the infinite sky, featuring a special “sky feeling”.
